It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man  in possession of a good fence must be in want of a proper gate.

 How to choose the most proper gate?

 For the height: As usual, the gate height should be the same or a little higher than the fence. It can not be lower, or it will looks urgly and inharmonious.

For the gate post: it should be thicker than fence post, because as usual, gate has frame,which is  heavier than fence panel, so the gate post must be strong enough to support the gate.

 You should also keep an eye on the locks. there are many kinds of locks, such as handlock, latch lock, nylon, iron, plastic, etc. If the fence is used in crowded places, such as park, station, etc. The gate needs to be opened and closed frequently, thus gate with latch lock and handle is very necessary.
